Guardiola signed a three-year contract upon joining Man City before extending his stay until 2021 after winning the 2017-18 Premier League title.

In 2020, he signed a new two-year contract that extended his stay until 2023.

The 52-year-old agreed a two-year contract extension with the Etihad Stadium club last November, committing his future at the club until 2025.

Guardiola would have spent nine years at the club by the time his contract ends.

The former Barcelona manager has turned Man City into a force to reckon with in England and Europe.

They won their first-ever Champions League at the expense of Inter Milan on Saturday after winning the Premier League for the third consecutive season.

Man City have won five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups and two Community Shields since Guardiola arrived.

They have broken and set records under the former midfielder and will continue to do so until 2025.

Clubs in Italy, France and Saudi Arabia will be keeping tabs on Guardiola once he confirms his intention to leave Man City.

Having won titles in Spain, Germany and England, moving to Italy or France could appeal to Guardiola.

No manager has won titles in all of Europe’s top five leagues, and joining a club like Paris Saint-Germain could take him closer to the feat.

The French club are still in search of the Champions League and could be tempted to appoint the Man City legend in 2025.

Managing a national team could also be an option for Guardiola, but he still has a lot to give at club level, and it will be intriguing to see where he ends up next.

Man City would be keen to retain his services, but it appears he is ready for a new challenge having conquered the Premier League.
