The upcoming weeks could be big for FC Barcelona as they work towards various operations. For the Catalan club, it is important to understand how to manage their limited budget and financial allowance. Moreover, it means Barcelona may have to consider exits as well.
So far, the transfer window has mostly been focused on arrivals for the Catalan club. For instance, former Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia has already been signed by the club, and the focus has now been shifted towards the arrival of a new left-winger.
Nico Williams is the name being mentioned the most, and the Spaniard could very well end up being the next signing for Barcelona. However, the potential €62 million cost of his release clause is undoubtedly a significant amount, so potential exits could be a real possibility for Barcelona.

Interestingly, the latest update from Fichajes suggests that Premier League side Manchester City and especially Pep Guardiola are interested in a certain Barcelona midfielder. With the Manchester-based club needing a boost, 22-year-old Fermin Lopez has been identified as a top target.
Considering his unique profile that mixes dynamism, technical ability, and a knack for scoring all together, he is the kind of player that Guardiola reportedly believes would be a great addition for Manchester City. Moreover, keeping in mind the departure of Kevin De Bruyne, Guardiola’s side could really use someone who can turn the tides of most games.
For Barcelona, Fermin Lopez is not exactly a nailed-on starter but still a player who offers something unique and effective. However, there is understandably a lot of competition when it comes to the midfield spots at Barcelona, and the potential arrival of Nico Williams could further limit minutes for several players including Fermin Lopez.
On that note, the report suggests that the cost of the operation could hover around the €50 million mark for Manchester City. Moreover, the English club would reportedly be open to allocating this amount towards this particular operation if they can get the green light from the Barcelona midfielder himself.
Interestingly, fellow Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado has also been linked to a move to the Premier League recently. In his case, it is primarily London-based club Chelsea that is reportedly interested in the services of the 21-year-old Spanish midfielder.
