Parma submit offer for Borussia Dortmund’s Gio Reyna | OneFootball

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Parma have submitted an offer of €6m plus bonuses to Borussia Dortmund for Gio Reyna (22), but the Bundesliga side are looking for a little more for the American.

The Serie A side have offered Reyna a three-year contract with an option for a further season, and a €25m release clause. The USMNT international has also expressed a desire to join Parma and is ready to negotiate a contract once they reach an agreement with Borussia Dortmund.

After spending the last six months of the 2023/24 season loan at Nottingham Forest, where he failed to impress, Reyna returned to Borussia Dortmund ready to fight for his place. But while on international duty with the United States, Reyna picked up an injury that saw him miss eight successive Bundesliga games and upon his return was unable to break into the starting eleven.

Under Nuri Sahin and Niko Kovac, Reyna – who also has interest from LAFC – played just 341 minutes across 16 Bundesliga games last season, scoring two goals.
