Paris FC's continued interest in the distinguished Mohamed Bayo
Mohamed Bayo appears set to end his Lille tenure after being excluded from the club's preseason preparations. The Guinean international, deemed surplus to requirements by manager Bruno Génésio, has attracted interest from several clubs including newly-promoted Paris FC.
Since joining Les Dogues, the 27-year-old has struggled to establish himself, enduring loan spells while failing to recapture the form that made him standout at Clermont Foot. With just two years remaining on his contract, Lille are reportedly open to a season-long loan deal.
Paris FC have emerged as serious suitors, proposing to cover part of the striker's wages as they seek experienced reinforcements for their Ligue 1 campaign. However, Bayo's decision hinges on guaranteed playing time, with Rayo Vallecano and FC Nantes also monitoring the situation.
Despite his €2.8 million market valuation, the forward's disappointing loan spell in Belgium has increased his urgency for a fresh start, preferably back in France where he hopes to revive his faltering career.
