Ousmane Dembélé: "We really have that winning mentality" | OneFootball

'When you're little, you dream of playing in the Champions League every year. Out of my ten seasons as a professional, I've played in the Champions League nine times, so this is quite outstanding. Now, with Paris Saint-Germain, I've played in two semi-finals and will play in the final this year.'

What do you make of your growth on the pitch?

'I've changed a lot, especially when it comes to my position, my style of play... I've changed a lot of things about my game, even though I'm still using my natural skills, and it's paying off. I play in a position that allows me to be in front of goal, so I only need to convert my chances, which isn't easy, but I'm often well-positioned. I just try to be in the right place at the right time, and I hope to keep scoring goals in order to set myself apart.'

How do you explain the team's cohesion?

'We really enjoy playing together, attacking and defending together. We're hungry for trophies. We really have that winning mentality, so we push each other. The competition within the team is essential so that the players can give their best.'

How is the squad approaching this final against Inter?

'These are matches that we want to play in and matches that we've been dreaming of since we were children. Playing in a Champions League final is amazing. You need a lot of focus and a lot of pride, and hopefully we'll win this match, but it won't be easy against this Inter team. They're a very difficult team to play against, but anything can happen in a final.'
