Everyone has been wondering. After winning it all in 2024, where does the Orlando Pride go in 2025? They took the NWSL Shield and won the championship last season.
A a matter of fact, the players have identified goals to fight for in 2025.
Defender Kylie Strom said the first is to use their performance in the 2025 season to prove to everyone that last year’s success wasn’t luck.
She added that the way to achieve that goal is to stick to the Orlando Pride’s principles. That will show that 2024 isn’t a one-off season.
The team has taken the field daily for drills and gearing up for intense preparations.

Head Coach Seb Hines is charged with maintaining the teamwork that got them past their opposition in 2024. Then he’s to strengthen their bonds beyond the heights they reached.
The players who worked with Hines during past seasons know the team's standards and expectations. Now, those experienced players will lead their newer teammates and drive the team to its next plateau of performance and achievement.
Two of those players will be new to the Pride's pitch. But they aren’t new to the standards because they spent the 2024 season out with injuries.
Striker Simone Charley and midfielder Grace Chanda are anxious to get back in matches. They didn’t play last year, they spent as much time meeting with their teammates. They immersed themselves in team culture.
So the mental preparation for these players has been done just as thoroughly as their field-experienced teammates.
The front office and players on the practice pitch recognize that the club has even greater ambitions for 2025. They said as much after Captain Marta signed a new two-year contract.
By winning the 2024 NWSL Championship, Marta said they’d proved everything wrong. Now they say the Orlando Pride can’t achieve anything greater. Players, coaches, and front office say – wrong again.
