Celtic secured a 0-0 draw against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League on Tuesday night away from Parkhead.

It was a solid defensive performance from the Bhoys, but both sides didn’t take enough risks to create openings, especially in the first half.

Celtic created some fantastic chances in the second half, and the Bhoys will probably feel that it was an opportunity missed to pick up all three points.

Chris Sutton took to X to share his reaction after the game. He says that Celtic lacked a bit of quality in the final third, but nonetheless, it’s a good point.

Celtic still need one more win

This has been a superb European campaign for Celtic, and clearly, the new format has helped them.

The Bhoys are 17th in the table and need one more win to move into the knockout rounds.

An away clean sheet always boosts confidence, but in this case, Celtics fans will probably feel frustrated by the result.

The fact that the fans are unhappy with a point away from home in a European game shows how far the team has progressed under Brendan Rodgers.

Celtic weren’t at their best, and they lacked quality in several areas. But at the same time, they were comfortable throughout the game, and not for once they panicked at the back.

Kasper Schmeichel once again made one terrific save and kept Celtic in the game in the second half. Celtic will have to beat Young Boys, and if they can do that, they will feel more confident ahead of their crucial game against Aston Villa.

They’re still on course for the knockout, but it does feel like they should have shown more courage upfront and created more chances.

Overall, it is a very tidy performance from Celtic, and the fanbase can hardly complain. But it could have been a lot better.
