It was a seismic weekend all across Europe with unbeaten runs ongoing and Champions League places secured.

Bologna confirmed their qualification for next season's Champions League this weekend with a 2-0 win away at Napoli.

Thiago Motta's side scored twice inside the opening 12 minutes and held on for the victory thanks to the performance of goalkeeper Federico Ravaglia.

Ravaglia was exceptional between the sticks as he pulled off five world class saves to see the Rossoblu join the European big boys net term.

RB: Josip Stanišić (Bayer Leverkusen)

It's been a brilliant week for Josip Stanišić.

The Bayer Leverkusen defender kept the club's unbeaten run going in midweek as his late equaliser secured a 2-2 draw with Roma.

And then at the weekend the Croatian international was instrumental in their 5-0 hammering of Bochum.

A goal and an assist saw Stanišić pick up the Man of the Match award as the Werkself saw their run go to 50 games.

CB: Timo Hübers (Köln)

Köln kept themselves alive in the Bundesliga survival race with a key win over Union Berlin on Saturday.

Centre-back Timo Hübers was an absolute colossus as Timo Schultz's side beat Union 3-2 to move to within three points of the capital club with one game left of the season.

Köln now face Heidenheim next weekend knowing they must win and hope that Union lose to Frieburg with a three-goal swing.

CB: Thilo Kehrer (Monaco)

Monaco secured their place in the Champions League next season with a 2-0 win away at Montpellier.

The Monegasque are back at the European top table for the first time since 2019 with centre-back Thilo Kehrer starring in Adi Hütter's back three.

The 27-year-old joined Monaco on loan from West Ham in January and has slotted in seamlessly, with this past weekend perfectly highlighting his unique blend of technical skill and aerial domination.

LB: Joško Gvardiol (Manchester City)

Manchester City's goal machine was at it again this weekend.

With Erling Haaland having an off day, it was left to Joško Gvardiol to score twice in Manchester City's 4-0 win at Fulham.

And it could have been even better for the Croatia international except he decided to walk away from a late penalty that would have seen him become the first defender to score a Premier League hat-trick.

CM: Mohammed Kudus (West Ham)

In David Moyes' final home game as West Ham boss, one of the Scot's finest signings showed why he's a wanted man this summer.

Mohammed Kudus was at his sparkling best as the Hammers came from behind to beat Luton 3-1, with the Ghana international laying on an assist for teenager George Earthy.

It's no wonder Liverpool are reportedly ready to make a move for the midfielder this summer.

CM: Leandro Barreiro (Mainz)

It's fair to say that Borussia Dortmund were suffering from a Champions League hangover on Saturday as they went down 3-0 to relegation-threatened Mainz.

But that would be underselling just how well the Bavarians played with midfielder Leandro Barreiro scoring one and assisting another in a masterclass of a performance.

CM: Charles De Ketelaere (Atalanta)

In Serie A's race for the final Champions League place, Atalanta bested Roma in what was essentially a one game play-off this weekend.

And it was Charles De Ketelaere who was the hero as the 23-year-old Belgian scored twice in two minutes to see La Dea beat Roma 2-1.

RW: Christian Pulisic (Milan)

On a personal level, Christian Pulisic's debut campaign at Milan could hardly have gone better.

The USA international has grown to become an integral part of Stefano Pioli's attack and the former Chelsea man backed up that sentiment this weekend with another fine display.

The Rossoneri beat Cagliari 5-1 to cement their second-place finish with Pulisic netting twice.

CF: Ihlas Bebou (Hoffenheim)

Hoffenheim's chances of European football next season were boosted this weekend as they beat Darmstadt 6-0 at the Böllenfattor.

Togolese striker Ihlas Bebou has been ever-present but patchy for Pelegrino Matarazzo's men this term with seven goals in 31 appearances.

But two of those came on Saturday with a pair of delightful finishes to take Hoffenheim up to seventh.

LW: Michael Olise (Crystal Palace)

There is arguably no more in-form player in the Premier League right now than Michael Olise.

The Crystal Palace wide man has found a new lease of life under coach Oliver Glasner and scored his 10th goal of the campaign this past weekend in a 3-1 win over Wolves.
