Guardiola also cautioned that what happened to Liverpool could also happen to his side. With Nottingham Forest fighting for their Premier League survival, they will provide a stern test for Manchester City on Sunday. Guardiola added: “We have five games left – tough ones like Forest and what they’re playing for. What happened to Liverpool can happen to us and Arsenal.”

It is now one win down and five wins to go for Manchester City to claim the Premier League title. Despite this fact, their focus will squarely be on Nottingham Forest at the City Ground where another crucial game awaits.
