West Ham are expected to confirm the appointment of Graham Potter as Head Coach today.
The club have been in talks with the former Brighton boss to replace the incredibly disappointing Julen Lopetegui, who is expected to be relieved of his duties today also.
Although no deal has been agreed as yet, it’s understood that Potter has agreed a deal in principle, with it expected to be finalised and confirmed soon.
Club insider ExWHUEmployee provided an update on the situation, advising that a deal is now on the brink of being confirmed.
“Talks have continued with Graham Potter and he is on the brink of taking over from Lopetegui,” stated Ex on The West Ham Way. “A decision should be confirmed on the manager by the end of day but it is looking more and more likely that Potter will take the reins-this is something we have reported for a while now.
“It does appear at this stage that conversations with Lopetegui have not yet happened and these are likely to happen tomorrow should Potter agree to the move.
“It appears that Potter has asked for certain things to be agreed before he officially signs the contract. The length of contract has also been up for discussion with the club preferring a short term 6 month contract initially but there has been some talks over this too.
“There is also some speculation that Everton could move for Potter if they sack Dyche so this may have sped up the decision process.”
