Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has admitted that he’s concerned about the club’s summer business.
They beat Manchester City to win the FA Cup at Wembley Stadium in May, securing qualification for Europe this season.
Glasner’s side started the new campaign with an impressive result against Chelsea, holding their capital rivals to a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge.
However, they have only signed goalkeeper Walter Benitez on a free transfer from PSV Eindhoven and left back Borna Sosa in a £2 million deal from Ajax this summer.
With only a few days left until the end of the transfer window, Glasner has admitted to Sky Sports that he’s ‘worried’ about the club’s lack of activity this summer.
Palace are set to lose Eberechi Eze to Arsenal in the next couple of days.
The Eagles are set to recoup more than £70m for their prized asset and are lining up Leicester City’s Bilal El Khannouss as a replacement.
However, Eze isn’t the only player who could leave Selhurst Park before the transfer window closes.
Club captain Marc Guehi has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool, and those rumours intensified after he snubbed Glasner following the goalless draw against Chelsea.
Adam Wharton and Jean-Philippe Mateta are also being courted by some of the biggest clubs across Europe.
Wharton has been tipped to move to a big club sooner rather than later, while Mateta was linked with Manchester United before they signed Benjamin Sesko.
Wharton and Mateta are unlikely to leave this summer, but Guehi could follow Eze through the exit door over the next few days.
