Evann Guessand
Coveted by several clubs, Ivorian international Evann Guessand has yet to make a decision regarding his future. However, he might want to heed the advice of Cédric Kanté, who suggests he should stay at OGC Nice.
Under contract until June 2028, Evann Guessand could leave OGC Nice this summer, due to the ongoing interest from European giants. With 13 goals and 10 assists to his name, Guessand has caught the eye of English clubs such as Tottenham, Brighton, West Ham, and Wolverhampton FC. In Turkey's Süper Lig, both Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor are reportedly interested.
While approaches from potential suitors are becoming increasingly serious, Guessand has yet to decide on his next destination. Cédric Kanté took the opportunity to offer him some wise words: "I would like him to stay for another season. He’s a player who came through the ranks at OGC Nice and has just completed his first truly full season. From a sporting perspective, I believe it would make sense for him to remain with Nice next season to compete in the Champions League, should Nice progress through the third qualifying round, or the Europa League. Moreover, he’s likely to play in the Africa Cup of Nations with Côte d’Ivoire in Morocco, and before a major international competition, a player needs stability."
Should Guessand leave against all expectations, Cédric Kanté advises the Ivorian striker to join a club competing in Europe next season: "If he moves to the Premier League, he should ideally sign with a club playing in European competition. The Turkish league is also strong. A club like Galatasaray Istanbul, who are expected to lose Victor Osimhen, could be interested. There could also be opportunities in Germany, which is a fantastic league with attacking football."
