VfB Stuttgart has confirmed that they have terminated the loan for left-back Frans Krätzig, and he will return to Bayern Munich.

Krätzig struggled for game time only making four appearances for Stuttgart and had to make do with a backup role behind Maximilian MIttelstädt and later Ramon Hendriks.

Sky Germany reports that Bayern will now look to send Krätzig on loan once again. There have been enquiries from abroad while clubs in the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga are also options. Last season, the 21-year-old spent six months on loan at Austria Vienna.

Krätzig’s departure means that a place in the Champions League squad list has now opened up meaning Stuttgart can now register Nick Woltemade who has scored four and assisted twice in the four games before the winter break. In Europe, Stuttgart faces Slovan Bratislava and PSG as they look to secure a place in the playoff place for the Champions League.

While they also have a DFB Pokal quarter-final clash against Augsburg at the beginning of February, whilst also needing to improve their positioning on 10th in the league. So an important few weeks at the MHP Arena.
