Real Madrid are set to lock horns with Villarreal in Gameweek 28 of La Liga away at Estadio de La Ceramica, hoping to get all three points.
With kickoff under two hours, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has announced the starting lineup that will take the field against Marcelino’s men at El Madrigal.
There are changes made to the lineup that started against Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League earlier in the week.
The biggest news is that key forward Vinicius Jr. drops to the bench, having not trained on Friday due to some discomfort.
Replacing him in the lineup is Brahim Diaz, who accompanies Rodrygo Goes and Kylian Mbappe in attack, with Jude Bellingham in support.
Meanwhile, Antonio Rudiger is also given a rest by Ancelotti, with Aurelien Tchouameni shifting to centre-back duties alongside Raul Asencio. There is a double change at full-back as Lucas Vazquez and Fran Garcia start, with the latter coming in for the injured Ferland Mendy.
Federico Valverde, who started at right-back against Atletico, returns to his natural position in midfield, where he partners up with Eduardo Camavinga.
