Official: Real Madrid name XI to face Sevilla, featuring new centre-back pairing | OneFootball

The XI of players entrusted by the coaching staff at La Liga giants Real Madrid to get the better of Sevilla on Sunday evening has been unveiled online.

And it features, most notably, a new-look pairing at centre-half.

Real Madrid are primed to return to action in short order, as part of the penultimate round of fixtures in the Spanish top-flight campaign.

With little beyond pride left to play for after being eliminated from title contention by arch rivals Barcelona over the last week, Los Blancos have made the trip to Andalusia, to take on Sevilla.

Carlo Ancelotti’s options are heavily reduced for the fixture, with a whole host of Real’s star performers sidelined through injury at present.

As much has given rise to another altered line-up for the evening, featuring the likes of Endrick, and Arda Güler.

As alluded to above, though, the most noteworthy inclusions come in the heart of defence, where Jacobo Ramón and Jesús Vallejo – fresh off combining for a memorable winner against Mallorca in midweek – are given the nod from the off.
