Coming off incredible back-to-back wins against Manchester City in the Champions League and Barcelona in La Liga, Real Madrid will now face off against Real Sociedad in the league with a win taking them oh-so-close to the title.

Carlo Ancelotti had made a whopping nine changes to the starting lineup for today’s game at the Reale Arena, starting with the goalkeeper itself.

Kepa Arrizabalaga has been given the nod over Andriy Lunin for this match, which will be his first start since the 3-2 win over Almeria.

The centre-backs are also replaced, with Eder Militao returning to the lineup fold after healing from his ACL injury. He partners Nacho in the heart of the backline, while Daniel Carvajal and Fran Garcia provide width on the right and left side, respectively.

Aurlien Tchouameni started as a centre-back vs Barcelona, but he has been given the license to play in his favoured holding midfield role tonight, and is flanked by Dani Ceballos and Luka Modric on either side.

The attack also features Arda Guler, who receives his second-only start for Madrid, presumably as a right-winger, while Brahim Diaz takes the responsibility on the other side of the trident.

Joselu has also returned to the XI, and will spearhead the forward-line as the striker.
