PSG have been hit with a double whammy as Willian Pacho (23) and Lucas Hernandez (29) will both miss the remainder of the Club World Cup. The Ecuador international centre-back and the France left-back have both received red cards during Les Parisiens‘ quarter-finals 2-0 win against Bayern Munich. Anthony Taylor gave Pacho his marching orders after he fouled Leon Goretzka and he did the same to Hernandez when the former Bayern Munich defender had elbowed Raphael Guerreiro in the face.

FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee has opted to hand the two culprits a two-game ban, which means their Club World Cup is effectively over. PSG can still appeal the decision. Champions League winners PSG will face Real Madrid in the second semi-final this Wednesday at East Rutherford’s MetLife Stadium. Should they defeat Los Merengues, PSG will face Chelsea or Fluminense in the final.
