Eddie Howe hoping to see his team repeat the form they have shown in making it six wins out of six, including that very latest one at Spurs on Saturday.

Official Newcastle United injury update – Availability for the Arsenal match:

Jamaal Lascelles – Long-term injured and still unavailable.

Emil Krafth – Still on the recovery route from his shoulder injury.

Callum Wilson – His latest hamstring injury seeing the striker out for a couple of months.

Fabian Schar – Suspended for this cup match but back available on Sunday for Bromley in the FA Cup.

Nick Pope – The keeper still on recovery route from his knee injury but Eddie Howe says he is doing well and could be available around six weeks after picking up the injury, so could be looking at around about the Bournemouth match in 12 days time.

Sven Botman – Forced off in added time on Saturday at Spurs, Eddie Howe saying after the match he believed it was simply cramp. Monday morning the Head Coach has said, no surprise, that Botman was ‘fatigued’ after his first action in 10 months. Howe saying he will consult with medical staff before making a decision but strongly expects that the player himself will want to play against Arsenal.

Bruno Guimaraes – Same as Schar, suspended for this League Cup match but will be available next weekend.

Anthony Gordon – Got a nasty blow and cut to the nose at Spurs but after the match Eddie Howe said that he thought the winger would be ok. This morning a similar message it appears, so Gordon set to be in the squad at Arsenal.

So it sounds like six definitely missing at Arsenal – Pope, Lascelles, Bruno, Schar, Wilson and Krafth.

With Gordon looking to be ok, then Botman with a question mark
