An official Newcastle United injury update on Friday morning.
Eddie Howe talking to journalists.
The NUFC Head Coach speaking ahead of this match at the City Ground.
Eddie Howe hoping to see his team follow up the wins over Chelsea and Arsenal, with a second away win of this season against Forest, having won there in the League Cup already.
Official Newcastle United injury update – Availability for the Nottingham Forest match (and beyond):
Eddie Howe confirming that Callum Wilson won’t be involved.
The Head Coach saying the plan is, as he said previously, for the number nine to be brought back into the matchday squad for the West Ham home game which is now in 17 days time.
Eddie Howe saying the same with Kieran Trippier, not available for the Forest game but hoping he will be ok for West Ham.
In better news though, the NUFC boss says that Jacob Murphy has been back in training this past week after a minor hamstring issue and should be fine for Sunday’s game.
Eddie Howe also giving an update on long-term injured Sven Botman:
“We hope that Sven can begin light training in the next few weeks.
“If we see him before the end of the year that would be a bonus.
“We are probably though looking at more like January.”
