Official: Fiorentina purchase Fazzini from Empoli | OneFootball

Fiorentina have officially completed the purchase of Italy Under-21 international Jacopo Fazzini from Empoli for a reported €10m plus bonuses.

The deal had been done last week and he finalised the medical tests today before putting pen to paper on the five-year contract.

According to reports, the agreement was reached for circa €10m plus add-ons.

The 22-year-old had been participating in the European Under-21 Championship with Italy and was also linked with the likes of Torino and Bologna this summer.

However, Fiorentina completed the swoop for the creative midfielder.

A product of the Empoli youth academy, he was given his top flight debut at the age of 19.

He made 22 appearances this season between Serie A and the Coppa Italia, contributing six goals and one assist.

There were repeated muscular problems that stalled his progress, and he was unable to stop Empoli’s relegation to Serie B.
