Less than a month after Barcelona lifted the La Liga title for the 2024/25 season, the schedule for the 2025/26 campaign has already been made public.

The new La Liga campaign will kick off on the weekend of August 17, 2025, and will go on until May 24, 2026.

And, Barcelona will kick off their season with an away fixture against RCD Mallorca on the weekend of August 17, before facing Levante and Rayo Vallecano also away in the subsequent gameweeks.

The Blaugrana will play their first home game of the La Liga season – their grand return to Spotify Camp Nou – on the weekend of 13-14 September against Valencia.

The Clasico dates

Meanwhile, the biggest matches of the La Liga season, the two El Clasicos, will be played out on October 25-26 (Matchweek 10) at the Santiago Bernabeu, and on 09-10 May, 2026 (Matchweek 35), at the renewed Spotify Camp Nou.

A week before the first Clasico, Barça are scheduled to play Girona in the Catalan derby.

Potential high-tension fixtures

Two fixtures this season are expected to be particularly tense due to recent transfers. Joan Garcia’s arrival from Espanyol has created more tension between the two local rivals, while Nico Williams’ imminent arrival from Athletic Club has worsened relations as well.

Barcelona will host Athletic at Camp Nou on 22-23 November before facing them away at San Mames on 7-8 March.

The away Catalan derby against Espanyol is scheduled for 4 January – though it could shift depending on Supercopa fixtures and the home leg will be held on 11-12 April.

The Catalan giants take on Atletico Madrid on 10-11 January at home, while they visit the Riyadh Air Metropolitano on 4-5 April.

The reigning champions’ last game of the campaign will also be played away from home, against Valencia.
