A spot in the finals of the UEFA Champions League is on the line as Barcelona take on Inter Milan in an hour or so at the iconic Guiseppe Meazza.
The first leg of the semi-final encounter between the two European giants ended in a 3-3 draw in Catalonia last week and another classic could be on the cards tonight.
With the game set to kick off soon, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has announced the starting lineup that will take the field against Simone Inzaghi’s men.
There had been a lot of debate and discussion surrounding the left-back position and whether Flick might opt for someone like Inigo Martinez or Ronald Araujo in the slot.
However, the manager has opted to stick with Gerard Martin who impressed in the weekend win vs Real Valladolid.
Eric Garcia starts at right-back in Jules Kounde’s injury-enforced absence while Pau Cubarsi and Inigo slot in as the two centre-backs. Wojciech Szczesny returns in goal after making way for Marc-Andre ter Stegen in the last league game.
Pedri and Frenkie de Jong form the double pivot in the centre of the park for Barcelona while Dani Olmo gets the nod over Gavi and Fermin Lopez in the No. 10 slot.
Lamine Yamal and Raphinha occupy the wide positions in attack with Ferran Torres starting as the centre-forward. The fit-again Robert Lewandowski finds himself on the bench.
