AC Milan will be hoping to make it back-to-back wins in Serie A against Como this evening at San Siro, to go into the international break the right way.
However, it won’t be easy against a dangerous opponent in Como, who seem to have gone up a gear this calendar year thanks to the exploits of Assane Diao as well as Nico Paz’s continued rise.
Cesc Fabregas would love a statement win at San Siro, amid links with taking over the Rossoneri. Sergio Conceicao meanwhile is aiming to keep alive the hopes of a European spot.
Milan have just one player out: Emerson Royal. Ruben Loftus-Cheek rejoined full training during the week and should sit on the bench, while Alessandro Florenzi returned to the match day squad for the Lecce game.
Conceicao has chosen to go with an unchanged rearguard of Mike Maignan in goal, Kyle Walker at right-back, Matteo Gabbia and Malick Thiaw as the centre-backs and Theo Hernandez at left-back.
The three midfielders chosen are Warren Bondo, Yunus Musah and Tijjani Reijnders. It remains to be seen if the first two will form a double pivot with Reijnders ahead, or if it will be a different configuration.
The attack features Christian Pulisic back on the right side, with Rafael Leao coming in on the left after his impact off the bench in Lecce, and Santiago Gimenez leading the line.
