Liam and Noel Gallagher have reunited for a global tour which is set [for now]to unfold across multiple continents in the weeks and months ahead.
Their tour includes a scheduled performance at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium this August.
In the lead-up to their upcoming concerts, Celtic have launched a special edition of the ‘Celtic View’, featuring a cover that pays tribute to Oasis’ iconic 1994 album ‘Definitely Maybe’.
Within the announcement on the official club website, Celtic View Editor Paul Cuddihy said: “It’s the big event of the summer that everyone’s talking about and now, after plenty of anticipation and excitement, it’s almost here… as the latest issue of the Celtic View hits the shelves this Friday, July 4 and the official club magazine hits all the right notes with exclusive interviews and features.”
“Some might say that the Celtic View is always packed full of fantastic interviews and features, and we hope, we think, we know you’re all going to enjoy it.”
“The latest issue of the club magazine speaks to the Celtic manager and several of the Double-winning squad, including Callum McGregor, Daizen Maeda and Kieran Tierney on his return to Paradise.”
“We’ve also got plenty of musical content, with Celtic-supporting artists, including Mani from The Stone Roses, Rianne Downey and Brian Cannon, the man who designed some of Oasis’ most iconic album covers.”
Celtic have shared a long-standing connection with the Manchester-born band that stretches back many years. It was Noel that made a memorable trip to Celtic Park in 2000 for Celtic’s 6-2 demolition derby victory over Rangers during Martin O’Neill’s first season in charge.
Speaking to Football Sporting Memories 14 years ago, Noel said: “The greatest thing I’ve ever seen was before the 6-2 match.”

“I was having a drink and this guy came up and said, ‘You better go and sit in your seat, son, something special is about to happen’. As I walked into the stadium, ‘Roll With It’ came out of the PA. They stopped it halfway, and the fans stood up and began to sing it.”
“I’m glad I got the chance to see Henrik Larsson score against Rangers when he looked especially cool with the dreadlocks. He scored with a magnificent chip over the keeper’s head. Everyone thought the ball was over, even the ball boys, but he was already celebrating.”

“My other favourite Celtic player was Kenny Dalglish. He was just a phenomenal footballer. He had the haircut, the big sideboards, the big collared shirts and the number on the shorts. I also liked Charlie Nicholas. Anyone that comes with the prefix Champagne is all right by me.”
