Nottingham Forest have stumbled again in the race for the Champions League places during an entertaining but arguably undeserved 1-1 draw away at Crystal Palace.

Scorers: Eze 60' (pen); Murillo 65'

Neither side could open their account on the night before the halftime interval, however, but both sides looked lively and capable of breaking the deadlock despite the nil-nil scoreline.

Palace struck first on the night in the 60th minute through an Eberechi Eze penalty after Mats Sels was judged to have brought down Tyrick Mitchell in the area.

Forest would not be down for long, however, and would level matters again five minutes later thanks to a cheeky deflected effort from centre-back Murillo, who did well to re-direct Neco Williams' effort from distance.

Oliver Glasner's outfit certainly had the better of Forest across the evening, especially in the second half, and a real chance to seal all three points went begging in the 84th minute when Maxence Lacroix could only head over the bar from inside the six-yard box.

With this result, Forest misses out on a golden chance to climb back into the top five and remain two points adrift of both Newcastle United and Chelsea.

As for Palace, the capital side remain in 12th but are still mathematically in with an opportunity to finish in the top-half by the end of the campaign.
