A release clause of €85m says just how much Benfica rate the centre-back but Mais Futebol say that Forest will test their resolve with a bid this week.

The Brazilian outlet claims that the Premier League side will make a €35m bid for Morato this week with Steve Cooper keen to add more quality to his backline.

The City Ground side have been more reserved in the market this summer after they signed over 20 players last time out.

Cooper has added the likes of Anthony Elanga and, in the next few days will sign World Cup winner Gonzalo Montiel.

But still Forest believe they need a new central defender with Scott McKenna, Wily Boly and Joe Worrall starting their last game against Sheffield United.
