Norwich City set to sack David Wagner after Leeds United defeat

David Wagner is set to be sacked by Norwich City following their 4-0 loss to Leeds United on Thursday evening.

According to The Sun, the Canaries have decided to move on from the German after their promotion disappointment.

Wagner had come under pressure in the first half of the campaign, with supporters urging the club to make a change in the dugout.

However, performances in the second half of the term led to a turnaround in fortunes, with the Norfolk outfit qualifying for the play-offs with a sixth place finish.

But their promotion hopes came to a crushing end at Elland Road, with the team suffering a 4-0 loss, with new sporting director Ben Knapper now opting for a change in coach as a result.
