At Football League World we have taken a look at two players Norwich scouts should be evaluating.
The departure of David Wagner and subsequent arrival of Johannes Hoff Thorup in the summer marked the beginning of another new era at Norwich City.
So far, inconsistencies have been abundant, but the significant turnover of players during the summer likely played a part in this.
Losing key players such as Jon Rowe, Gabriel Sara and Abu Kamara would have been a hammer blow for Hoff Thorup, who would have been looking forward to coaching these individuals.
However, he has begun to get the best out of those available to him, with the likes of Borja Sainz and Callum Doyle thoroughly impressing.
Despite this, they currently sit ninth in the league and any hopes of reaching the play-offs will likely hinge on a productive January transfer window.
With that in mind, at Football League World, we have detailed two players Norwich City should be scouting ahead of a busy New Year.
Richard Kone has a remarkable footballing story at just 21 years old.
Having arrived in the United Kingdom in 2019 to play in the Homeless World Cup, the Ivorian went on to sign for Lopes Tavares, later renamed Athletic Newham, where he scored 88 goals in 109 games.
Despite interest arriving from various sides, he couldn't move up the tiers until 2024, when his visa was finally approved. This saw him make the move to Wycombe Wanderers, where he had had a huge impact in under a year.
To date, the youngster has netted 15 goals in 44 appearances for the Chairboys, including an impressive nine league goals this season.
This will likely see interest arrive and Norwich should begin to monitor his progress ahead of a potential January move.
While the Canaries do have forward options in the form of Josh Sargent and Ante Crnac, the former's persistent injury issues and the latter's inexperience should see them target the Wycombe striker.
Many will argue that his lack of Championship experience will play against him but having risen from the Essex Senior League to League One, he has met challenge after challenge and could likely cope with one more jump.
Hoff Thorup should therefore take a risk and ask Mark Attanasio to fund a move for Kone if he continues to perform between now and January.
Following a pattern of targeting young talent, Norwich's scouts should be heading to Stamford Bridge and Cobham to catch a glimpse of Tyrique George.
The 18-year-old could be a perfect temporary fix for Norwich's right-wing issues, which have been highly prominent this term.
Dubbed a player "with the world at his feet" by Jadon Sancho, the youngster has already made his debut for Chelsea's first team in the Conference League.
Preferring to play in a 4-3-3 formation, he would be an ideal fit on that right wing with his directness and willingness to get shots off troubling sides ever since he moved to the Blues' academy aged eight.
While it seems impossible for a permanent deal to be completed, a six-month loan would give Norwich a suitable amount of time to scout and plan their summer signing for that same position.
Therefore, the Canaries recruitment team should be heading west to Stamford Bridge so they can get an outlook on George before a possible January move.
