No trophy ceremony in event of PSG being crowned champions on Saturday

It looks likely that Paris Saint-Germain will wrap up their third successive Ligue 1 title when they host Le Havre AC at the Parc des Princes on Saturday evening (21:00 local time). A win will be enough to see PSG crowned champions, regardless of results elsewhere after AS Monaco’s victory over Lille OSC on Wednesday (1-0) put the title celebrations on hold. However, regardless of the outcome on Saturday, there won’t be any trophy ceremony, according to L’Équipe.

A point could even be enough for PSG to win the title, should Monaco fail to beat Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday evening but despite the likelihood of Les Parisiens’ 12th Ligue 1 title being sealed, the trophy ceremony will not take place until matchday 33, when Toulouse FC visit the Parc des Princes (Sunday, May 11th, 21:00 local time), should the title be wrapped up by then, which is almost a certainty.
