Nicolò Zaniolo with Udinese: a new story for the Roma boy!

According to a breaking update from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Nicolò Zaniolo is set to return to Italy’s top flight. The 26-year-old attacking midfielder, currently on the books of Turkish giants Galatasaray, will join Udinese on a season-long loan.

While the financial terms of the agreement have not been made public, Romano confirms that Zaniolo is scheduled to undergo his medical examination as early as today. Once finalized, the move will mark another chapter in the player’s Serie A journey.

Zaniolo made the switch to Galatasaray from AS Roma in 2023 for a fee in the region of €15 million. However, his time in Turkey has been underwhelming; he struggled to cement a place in the starting lineup, making only 16 appearances and contributing five goals and two assists. His recent career has seen him take loan spells at several clubs, including Aston Villa in the Premier League, and Italian sides Atalanta and Fiorentina.
