Ahead of a crucial Champions League clash tomorrow evening, Club Brugge head coach Nicky Hayen was clearly not underestimating Celtic. The current Belgian champions head to Scotland full of confidence, having won their last league game 7-0 against Sint Truiden and having beaten Aston Villa in their most recent European game. However, they know that Celtic are a tough side to beat at home.
Hayen, speaking to the press ahead of the game, was highly complimentary of Brendan Rodgers and his side. Hayen said ‘Celtic are a complete team, but individually they also have a lot of quality. It is not kick and rush. They build up well, and that is exactly what Rogers wants’. However, the sides head coach is also confident in his own side. He went on to say that their recent performances have given him confidence that they can get something from their trip to Scotland. Three points may be enough to get through to the next round, yet even a point would be a good return.
Club have a tricky final few matches, with Sporting, Juventus and Manchester City still to come.
