Denzel Dumfries is set to return to the pitch for Inter Milan against either Roma in Serie A or Barcelona in the Champions League.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They also report that Piotr Zielinski’s return will be further down the line.

Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries has been absent since the international break.

The Dutchman is currently recovering from a thigh problem that he picked up during a Serie A clash with Atalanta just before the break.

Dumfries has missed matches against Udinese, Parma, and Cagliari in Serie A. He has also missed the Coppa Italia semifinal first leg against AC Milan, and both legs against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

However, a return for Denzel Dumfries is now just around the corner, reports the Gazzetta.

The Dutchman will not be available against Bologna this weekend. Nor will he be able to play in the second leg against AC Milan in midweek.

However, anticipate the Gazzetta, Dumfries could be available against Roma the following weekend.

Alternatively, the former PSV wingback could be back for the first leg of the Champions League semifinal tie against Barcelona.

On the other hand, reports the Gazzetta, Piotr Zielinski is still at least a couple weeks away from returning.
