The UEFA Nations League quarter-final draw is set to take place on Friday following the completion of the group stages over the last three international breaks.
Here is everything you need to know about the draw and who Italy could face.
The quarter-final draw is due to begin at around 11.00 GMT (12.00 CET). on Friday November 22, 2024.
Eight teams are in the quarter-final draw: All the teams that finished first and second in the ‘A’ League groups.
The group winners – or ‘seeded teams’ – are Spain, Germany, France and Portugal, while the runners up – or ‘unseeded teams’ – include Italy, the Netherlands, Denmark and Croatia.
Italy will have to face on of the group winners, but not France, who eventually finished at the top of Italy’s group after defeating the Azzurri 3-1 in San Siro in the final group stage fixture.
That means that Luciano Spalletti’s side will face either Spain, Germany or Portugal.
