Nations League, qualifiers... The international calendar for the September break | OneFootball

No fewer than 19 AS Monaco players have been called u for this first international window of the 2024-2025 season. So between the Nations League, the qualifications for the World Cup and the CAN, discover their schedule in detail.

It’s the first break of the season. After three rounds in Ligue 1 McDonald’s, with seven points on the board for our Rouge et Blanc, some players from the squad have joined their respective national teams. The Principality club has seen 19 players leave, from the Academy to the pros, during this international break in September, here is the full schedule for our Monegasques. 📅

A trophy in sight for the Nati 🇪🇺

And we start with AS Monaco captain Denis Zakaria and his teammate and friend Breel Embolo, who will play in the Nations League with Switzerland, in a very tough group (Spain, Denmark and Serbia). These group matches will determine whether the Swiss selection will have a chance to go further in the competition.

World Cup and and AFCON qualifiers 🌍

With a goal against Saint-Etienne in the first Ligue 1 match (a 1-0 win), Takumi Minamino is in the squad for Japan, to compete in qualification for the 2026 World Cup. On the African continent, four Monegasques have been selected to compete in  qualifications for AFCON: Lamine Camara with Senegal, Wilfried Singo with Ivory Coast, Eliesse Ben Seghir with Morocco and Mohammed Salisu with Ghana.

Les Espoirs are back 🇫🇷

Across the world, Folarin Balogun was logically called up with the United States for two friendly matches. Then come the French youth teams, like the Espoirs (U-21s), which Maghnes Akliouche and Soungoutou Magassa will join. Present in the list of Gérald Baticle, the new coach of the team, the silver medalists will continue in bleu blanc rouge.

Youngsters from the Academy at all levels 👶

All three European vice-champions this summer with the French U19s, Mayssam Benama, Saïmon Bouabré and Lucas Michal are joining their teammate Christian Mawissa in the French U20 Team. Joan Tincres has been called up with the U19s, while Mathys Plessis will represent the U16s.

In Belgium, Samuel Nibombé has been selected with the U18s for two friendly matches. While the new Monegasque, Sirak Bein, will represent the Swiss U18s during the Limoges Tournament, as will Pape Cabral with Les Bleuets.
