Reports in Italy claim that Napoli and Manchester United directors could continue negotiations over Rasmus Hojlund today, with the Partenopei eager to offer the ex-Atalanta star a higher salary than he gets at Old Trafford.

Napoli are moving forward to sign Manchester United striker Hojlund as contacts with the Red Devils have been ongoing for several days.

Gazzetta and Corriere dello Sport provide the latest updates on negotiations, claiming that all the parties involved in the deal are still looking for a final agreement.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Hojlund is open to joining the Partenopei, but his agent is still is still negotiating with Napoli.

Hojlund still hopes for a permanent transfer or a loan move with an obligation to buy, while the transfer package could be worth circa €50m including add-ons.

According to Gazzetta, Napoli will offer Hojlund a considerable pay raise, proposing a salary of up to €4.5m, much higher than his current €2.8m wages at Old Trafford.

On the other hand, however, the Partenopei may insist on a loan move with an option to buy, but, if the player won’t accept this transfer formula, they’d be ready to consider an obligation to buy.
