Serie A champions Napoli are preparing a €40 million offer for Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.
After a period of uncertainty and a near move to Napoli in the winter transfer window, Adeyemi is reportedly settled at Dortmund.
He had his best individual season with Dortmund last time out, racking up 12 goals and nine assists in 41 matches across all competitions.
Napoli are ready to make another attempt to secure Adeyemi’s services as they seek to bolster their attacking options.
They have already signed Dutch winger Noa Lang from PSV Eindhoven this summer, but are still keen on acquiring more reinforcements in the wake of Cyril Ngonge’s departure.
Adeyemi is known for his versatility, which enables him to play across the front line, and Dortmund will be desperate to hold on to him.
The Bundesliga outfit have already parted ways with Jamie Bynoe-Gittens this summer. They are in the market for a wide forward, and a return for Jadon Sancho has been mooted.
If Napoli fail in their pursuit of Adeyemi, they could ignite their interest in Alejandro Garnacho, who is widely expected to leave Manchester United.
However, they will have to fend off competition from Aston Villa and Chelsea, both of whom have also been linked with a move for the Argentina international.
