Napoli are preparing for Sam Beukema’s medical tests in Rome today, as the Dutch defender could be the second player to arrive at Villa Stuart after Lorenzo Lucca.

Napoli are preparing to finalise the Beukema deal, and the Netherlands international could undergo medical tests with the Partenopei in the afternoon.

Beukema has always been Napoli’s top priority target in central defence, and he’s now ready to complete a move to the Stadio Maradona, whether or not he completes his medical examinations today.

The Partenopei will pay a fee of around €30m for the Dutch defender who has just completed his second season in Serie A with Bologna, winning a Coppa Italia in 2024-25.

Napoli have already signed Kevin De Bruyne, Luca Marianucci and will soon announce Noa Lang from PSV.
