Rodrigo Mora scored a sensational goal to send Porto to a 1-0 victory against Casa Pia at Estádio Municipal de Rio Maior.

The goal came in the 5th minute, the 17-year-old producing a pirouette that left José Fonte prone on the pitch before piercing the far corner.

The Dragons were unable to extend their lead before the break, the second half a snooze fest that saw Casa Pia unable to seriously test Diogo Costa.

André Villas-Boas will be delighted to see his standout star continue to shine, the teenager taking some focus off the 4-1 defeat to Benfica at Estádio do Dragão.

Casa Pia 0-1 Porto

Miguel Sousa missed a golden opportunity to put Casa Pia ahead in the fourth minute, sent clear by Gaizka Larrazabal but shooting straight at Diogo Costa who made himself big.

A minute's silence had been observed for Aurélio Pereira, the legendary scout who spotted future stars including Luis Figo and Cristiano Ronaldo. It was appropriate that 60 second later, another Portuguese teenager would go viral with one for the highlight reel and instagram feeds.

Fábio Vieira sent Francisco Moura clear, the full-back picking out Rodrigo Mora who spun past 41-year-old José Fonte with a sensational piece of skill, falling as he steered the ball past Patrick Sequeira. At 17y 11m, Mora became the youngest Porto player to reach six league goals since 1974, when Fernando Gomes achieved the feat two months older.

João Mário and Deniz Gül had chances before Mora was brought down by Fonte on the edge of the box, the clear foul going unpunished.

Casa Pia made a game of it after the break, Larrazabal with the hosts’ second and final shot on target in the 63rd minute. Porto held on under late pressure, but all the talk will continue to surround Rodrigo Mora.
