AS Monaco’s Soungoutou Magassa (21) is set to complete a €20m move to West Ham United, according to a report from Foot Mercato and L’Équipe.
The France youth international has been the subject of Premier League interest throughout the window. It was Nottingham Forest who made the first move for the player, seeing their bid rejected by the Principality club.
However, needing to raise money through player sales, Monaco have never been opposed to a departure, and it was West Ham who met their €20m valuation. The deal is worth an initial €17m, plus another €3m in add-ons.
Magassa himself has already given the green light to join West Ham, where he is now expected to sign a six-year deal. With an agreement between clubs in place, as well as an agreement with the player on personal terms, he is now set to travel to London to undergo his medical ahead of the completion of the deal.
