Ansu Fati’s (22) move to AS Monaco is drawing nearer. As per Fabrizio Romano, the Principality club are preparing to welcome the Spaniard for a medical.

There has seemingly been a breakthrough in talks between Barcelona and Monaco. In an interview over the weekend, Barcelona’s sporting director Deco opened up the possibility of Fati leaving on a loan deal, rather than on a permanent transfer, as the Catalan club initially preferred.

Foot Mercato has since added that there is momentum behind the move. Barcelona are now prepared to make compromises to ensure that his move to Monaco comes off. That would mean the La Liga side allowing a loan, something they were reticent to do, whilst also continuing to pay a part of his salary.

Romano adds that the clubs are going about finalising the final details of the move. The Principality club are even now preparing to welcome Fati for a medical this week.
