Al Hilal manager Jorge Jesus has admitted he would like to sign Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah this summer.

Salah's contract at Anfield has entered its final five months and there has yet to be any sign of an extension, despite public pressure from the Egyptian in an attempt to accelerate an agreement.

Saudi Arabian officials have been chasing Salah's signature for years, with Al Hilal now the likeliest destination after Neymar's surprise departure last month, and Jesus' side were recently backed to complete a deal if the prolific forward does end up leaving Liverpool.

In an interview with Canal11, Jesus was asked whether Salah could be the next superstar to take his talents to Al Hilal, and he did not hide his desire to get a deal over the line.

"I'd like it," Jesus said. "But if he wants it... I don't know.

"Salah is a great player, he has a way of playing that would fit our team, but I don't know any more."

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has also publicly urged his talisman to put pen to paper, but the contract stand-off continues and Salah's former teammate Dejan Lovren recently accused the Anfield decision-makers of disrespecting the Egyptian.
