Reports since the Champions League defeat to Dinamo Zagreb have suggested that Alvaro Morata and Sergio Conceicao had an argument post-game, and now the AC Milan forward is set to depart.

We know that Conceicao’s emotions can get the better of him. Already, he has admitted as much to the press, and we saw it first-hand with Davide Calabria at the weekend. So, when there were suggestions about a clash with Morata, they were not overlooked.

It would make complete sense for this to be the case. With Milan in a poor position and certain players not up to standard, if there were frustrations voiced, it would not come as a shock.

However, Milan News reports that there was in fact ‘no quarrel’ between the two, despite reports suggesting otherwise. The Spaniard was understanding of the decision to put Samuel Chukwueze, given it is what the game needed.

With the reports about Morata’s likely departure arriving this afternoon, it would certainly make sense if they were fuelled by the suggestions about what took place in the dressing room last night, but it seems the two are not linked.

The report does state that the striker wants to ‘maintain his role’ in the starting XI for the Inter clash, but it seems this may not be possible with an exit possible.
