Fans are not happy with the current situation at AC Milan, and it is understandable why. Things are almost the polar opposite of what expectations are, and things must be changed quickly if fans are to remain onside.
For the supporters, it has been a difficult few years. Since winning the Scudetto Milan have been on a downward spiral, one that has continued to deteriorate season after season, and this season could be on trend to continue this poor streak.
After last season, fans had dreamt of positive change when the Pioli era ended, but this has not been delivered so far. Instead, the Rossoneri look a shell of themselves, devoid of confidence, leaders or ideas.
Questions are coming thick and fast for everyone. Rafael Leao’s attitude and performances – questioned. Theo Hernadez’s attitude and performances – questioned. Paulo Fonseca’s tactics – questioned. The management – questioned.
AC Milan. Questioned.
At present, the Diavolo do not seem like the club synonymous with success, but rather familiar with negativity. This weekend, they have a chance to change that against Inter. A positive result could restart the season, but another loss would be incredibly damaging.
As Milan News reports, the Curva Sud will not protest during the game, after all ‘there is no need to further aggravate the derby atmosphere, already charged with tension by its very definition’.
However, Tuesday night could be repeated if things do not go in the Rossoneri’s favour. Inter could win a record-breaking seventh consecutive derby, and this, according to the report, would make the Sud ‘behave accordingly’.
