Reports in Italy claim that Milan have turned down an opening offer from Premier League side AFC Bournemouth for full-back Alex Jimenez, who is increasingly likely to leave San Siro before the end of the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old has been left out of the travelling Milan squad for Friday evening’s Serie A match against Lecce due to disciplinary reasons, and will be allowed to leave the club under suitable conditions before the window closes in a few days time.

According to reports on Thursday, Roma, Como and Bournemouth are among the sides interested in picking up the former Real Madrid talent.

As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, Bournemouth have submitted an initial offer to sign Jimenez on loan with an option to buy for a fee under €20m, which Milan have not accepted as they are seeking a fee in the region of €25m.

Roma and Como reportedly remain interested, but it remains to be seen if they will come in with official offers.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, also remain involved as they will have a buy-back option for a fee of €12m active next summer, however, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, it is unlikely that Los Blancos will ever be in a position to activate that clause, as Jimenez is expected to be sold well before it becomes active.
