MIKE, THEO AND FOFANA IN ACTION, BUT FRANCE LOSE

Let's recap the first international break of the Serie A season, as Friday night's international games saw a few Rossoneri feature in various games. The big one catching the headlines was France v Italy in Paris, with the Azzurri winning 3-1 on the first matchday of the Nations League (Group 2). For Les Bleus, Mike Maignan - who wasn't to blame for the goals - and Theo Hernández played the whole match, while Youssouf Fofana started in midfield for Deschamps before being subbed off just after the hour mark. The French, who find themselves with 0 points in the group after losing at home, will have a chance to bounce back in the next few days against Belgium.

In terms of our youth players, the forward Hugo Cuenca was on the bench in Paraguay's 0-0 draw against Uruguay in Montevideo, in their qualifying match for the World Cup 2026 (currently 7th in the standings), and goalkeeper Noah Raveyre didn't make an appearance in France U20's 5-3 friendly win over Switzerland in Clairefontaine.
