Who has the most goal contributions in Europe's top 5 leagues?

10. Mohamed Salah

A lot has been said about Liverpool and Salah’s underperformances in recent weeks, but The Egyptian King still cracks the top 10 with 17 goals and seven assists across all competitions.

He scored his first goal of 2023 last night against Everton in the Merseyside derby, and Liverpool fans will hope that is a sign of things to come.

9. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

For those of you who have not seen Kvaratskhelia play, go and watch the videos. He is an absolute demon.

He has helped fire Napoli to the top of Serie A and into the Champions League knockout stages with 11 goals and 14 assists. Expect some of Europe’s biggest clubs to be in for him over the next few years.

8. Jamal Musiala

This one must sting Chelsea fans. Former academy talent Musiala has become a sensation over the last few seasons and also a regular in a stacked Bayern Munich team.

Fourteen goals and 11 assists in all competitions have kept Bayern at the top of the Bundesliga, and the German giants need him to keep performing if they want to get past PSG in Europe and keep Union Berlin and Borussia Dortmund at bay domestically.

7. Randal Kolo Muani

Another top talent who makes the list. 14 goals and 14 assists have turned Kolo Muani into one of Europe’s most highly-rated prospects. If you look at output alone, he is up there with established elite players.

His performances for Eintracht Frankfurt resulted in Didier Deschamps calling him up for France’s World Cup squad. And Manchester United are rumoured to be interested in signing the 24-year-old…

6. Lionel Messi

Even at 35, the GOAT is still performing at an elite level, with 15 goals and 14 assists for PSG this season.

However, PSG could potentially be without their World Cup winner tonight when they play Bayern. The Argentinian was not in the squad for PSG’s loss to Monaco on Saturday, with manager Christophe Galtier stating that he would be assessed closer to the time.

5. Robert Lewandowski

Put some more respect on Lewandowski’s name. One of the best European strikers over the last decade, with over 600 career goals.

Twenty-six goals and six assists from the Polish striker this season have helped Barcelona go 16 games undefeated. Their last loss was a 3-0 defeat to Lewandowski’s former side Bayern Munich back in October. The Catalan side are also top of LaLiga by 11 points, and look set to win the title for the first time since 2019.

4. Marcus Rashford

What a season Rashford is having for United. 21 goals and eight assists, with United playing their best football in years.

Rashford has been a key part of the side and is currently on a three-match scoring streak. Erik ten Hag has been full of praise for the academy product, calling him one of the best strikers in Europe right now.

PSG might be without a second star player when they play Bayern tonight, with Galtier also unsure if Mbappe is fully fit to play.

The Parisian has been out with a hamstring injury, but boy could PSG use his output. 25 goals and six assists, including five goals and an assist against Pays de Cassel in the Coupe de France recently. PSG fans will be praying he can recover in time.

2. Neymar

If he can’t, though, Galtier and PSG will be relying on Neymar. Which is hardly a disaster considering how he has been performing lately.

Seventeen goals and 16 assists is insane output midway through the season. He just misses out on the top spot, though…

1. Erling Haaland

It just had to be, didn’t it? The robot has been in incredible form in his debut season and anyone who thought he might struggle looks a fool now.

Thirty-one goals in all competitions and four assists. He has already passed last year’s Golden Boot winner. In January… And no goals in his last three games is a form of drought, but a hat-trick against Wolves preceded that.

IF he stays in the Premier League for long enough, every goal scoring record is getting broken.
