Historic Inter Miami win at the FIFA Club World Cup

-Inter Miami became the third Concacaf club to come from behind after trailing at halftime and win a match in official FIFA tournaments. The other two clubs to achieve this were Pachuca against Al-Ahly (EGY) in Japan 2008 and Club América against Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors (KOR) in Japan 2016.

-Lionel Messi (ARG) became the oldest player to score a direct free kick goal for a Concacaf club in official FIFA tournaments, at 37 years, 11 months, and 26 days.

-The goal by Venezuelan Telasco Segovia of Inter Miami ended a streak of 39 consecutive goals scored by South American players playing for Mexican clubs in the history of official FIFA tournaments.

-Javier Mascherano (ARG) snapped a seven-match winless streak for coaches leading Concacaf clubs in official FIFA tournaments (D-4 L-3). Mascherano also earned the third-ever win for an Argentine coach managing a Concacaf club in official FIFA tournaments. Previously, Ricardo Lavolpe accomplished the feat in 2016 with Club América against Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors (KOR), and Antonio Mohamed did so in 2019 with CF Monterrey versus Al-Saad (QAT).
