Shining with Al-Hilal, especially during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, Yassine Bounou could be on his way back to Europe. The Moroccan goalkeeper is being tipped for a return to Sevilla FC.

According to information from Estadio Deportivo, the president of the Andalusian club, José María Carrasco, had a conversation with the Moroccan shot-stopper during his stay in the United States and expressed his desire to bring him back to Sevilla once his contract with Al-Hilal expires.

The Atlas Lion (74 caps) hasn’t ruled out a return to Sevilla, as his contract in Saudi Arabia is set to end in June 2026.

The Montreal-born keeper, who was Sevilla’s last line of defense from 2019 to 2023, left only fond memories among Andalusian fans, winning the Europa League twice and claiming the Zamora Trophy in 2022, awarded to the goalkeeper who concedes the fewest goals in La Liga.
