Once again, David Datro Fofana finds himself in the midst of a hectic transfer window, as is the case every summer.

The Ivorian international (3 caps) returns from an unconvincing loan spell at Göztepe, where he played just 9 matches (scoring 2 goals) due to a serious knee injury.

Although he has already started preseason training with the rest of the squad, he remains unwanted in the eyes of Enzo Maresca. The manager has made it clear that Fofana must find a new club.

According to TEAMtalk, the 22-year-old is attracting interest from French and Italian clubs.

Since arriving at Chelsea in January 2023 from Molde, the Ouragahio native has made just 4 appearances for the Blues.

He has since been sent out on three consecutive loans: to Union Berlin in Germany, Burnley FC in England, and Göztepe in Turkey.
