Sunday sees our first away trip of the 2024/25 Barclays Women’s Super League campaign as we face Aston Villa at Villa Park (4.30pm UK) – and we will look to maintain our unbeaten run on the road from the end of last season.

Having lost just once in our final seven games of last term – the defeat coming against eventual WSL winners Chelsea – we also avoided defeat in our final three away games, winning once and drawing twice.

Our victory came back in March at Ashton Gate as Bethany England’s strike inside the opening two minutes secured a 1-0 victory over Bristol City before draws with Manchester United (2-2) and Everton (2-2) followed in the closing stages of the season.

We accumulated 16 points on the road last term – the most recorded since our promotion to England’s top flight in 2019 – and scored 19 goals.

We’ve won two of our four away games against Aston Villa in the WSL (L2), only winning more often in the road in the competition versus West Ham United (three) and Brighton and Hove Albion (three).
